As you know, I am a big believer in the “virtual village” where we can all help one another on our parenting journey. As part of that, I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute to a recent article about sleep. While the article features many bits of advice that are geared primarily for adults, it is a pretty decent round-up of general common sense tips that can be used by anyone… even stressed out, overworked, and sleep-deprived parents.
I come in at tip number 9 where I talk a bit about the importance of “Predictability” something I have discussed on my blog before. Most babies thrive on routine and being consistent is an essential tool in learning any new skill, especially the skill of sleep.
Anyway, I invite you to check out the article HERE.
As always, take the advice that you can use, leave the rest, and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Also, in case you missed it… my advice has also appeared in this article where I talked about parenting during the pandemic (advice that is still good even as we move into Covid being endemic) and also in this Central California Parent article where I discuss the importance of self-care for parents.
More blogs are coming, so keep an eye on this space. Happy March!
